Jonesboro School of Art Studio Rules & Procedures
JSA students are required to maintain a respectful and positive attitude toward the instructor, studio property, and fellow students.
Any student, who displays willful disobedience, will be given two warnings and be asked to “sit out” for a portion of the class. Parents will be notified of student behavior. If a third warning must be given, the student will be permanently dismissed.
Families are welcome to stay in our waiting area while their artists are in class. Unless the restroom facilities are needed, parents and siblings should remain in the waiting area during class time. Because the waiting area and Studio A share a common room, we ask that the noise be kept to a minimum.
JSA studio plays only Classical and Christian music during class time. Students are welcome to bring their own music and ear buds to class.
Tuition breakdown: (Total Tuition: $250/semester)
$12.50 x 16 classes = $200
$200 / 4 months = $50 monthly tuition
Registration fee: $50 (The supply fee is due at registration, and is non-refundable. If paid before the early registration deadline, which is noted on the class schedule page, you will receive a $15 discount.)
Beginning tuition will be due during the first week of classes, and will be due again during the first week of each month. Tuition paid after the due date, returned checks, and “held” checks will be subject to a $5 late fee per child for each week the tuition remains unpaid. Tuition which remains unpaid for two consecutive weeks will result in the student’s removal from class until tuition and fees are paid.
Siblings and multiple class enrollment will receive a 10% discount on the second class. We happily accept credit cards; a $2.00 fee will be added to these transactions.
If a students needs to drop during the semester, the studio must be notified. Because tuition is divided evenly each month, ALL payments are expected for the semester. If a student drops during the semester without paying the entire semester’s tuition, any future enrollment will require the semester to be paid in full at the time of registration. This amount will be non-refundable.
We do not allow students under the age of 18 to register themselves for classes. All registration agreements must be fulfilled by an adult.
DO NOT send your student to class if they are sick (or have head lice). Children too sick to attend school, are too sick to attend art. If an ill child has been dropped off for class, they will be removed to the waiting area, and the parent will be called to return to the studio. Since there will be ample opportunity for a make up class, refunds for missed classes will NOT be made and time will NOT carry over to future semesters. (ie. Fall and spring absences must be made up in the corresponding semesters.)
JSA reserves the right to both deny and terminate enrollment of any student who does not adhere to the above rules and guidelines.
